Postdoctoral Researcher in Hydrology and Streamflow Reconstruction

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher position in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering at The Ohio State University (OSU). The successful candidate will work in the Stagge research group (www.jstagge.com), conducting research in the broad area of hydrology and historical streamflow reconstruction. This position contributes to developing new statistical approaches for reconstructing monthly or seasonal flows from tree-rings with a focus on water resources applications; testing the robustness of flow disaggregation schemes; comparing reconstructed drought risk to projected climate change; or other topics of interest related to hydrology and historical streamflow reconstruction.

Required:

Ph.D in civil engineering, physical geography or closely related fields; strong written and oral communication skills; proven record of high productivity.

Desired Skills:

Experience in hydrology and statistics, stochastic streamflow approaches, flow extremes, and paleoclimate reconstruction preferred.
